Send supplier reminders

Reminders can be a powerful tool to encourage your suppliers to respond to assessments. You can send reminders via SupplyShift manually or take advantage of our automated reminders. When a reminder is sent, your suppliers receive an email notification from SupplyShift with information about the assessment due date and outstanding actions.

Automated reminders

Automated reminders are email notifications that are sent to prompt users to perform an action such as submitting an assessment or responding to a correction. These emails are sent by SupplyShift automatically after some period of time, or prior to an event such as the due date for an assessment.

Automated reminders for assessments are sent at predefined intervals to help suppliers know they have an outstanding assessment. Reminders are sent:

  • 3 days after the assessment is sent.
  • 8 days after the assessment is sent.
  • 15 days after the assessment is sent.
  • 1 day before the due date, if there is a set due date.

Automated reminders are on by default but, if you wish to not send automated reminders, you can disable them. From the send page, under the Advanced Options section, select Mute automated reminders. When this option is selected, the recipients of the assessment will not receive the automated reminders.

Manual reminders

  1. Click the menu icon in the top left corner.
  2. Click Assessments.
  3. Click the assessment for which you would like to send reminders.

  1. Verify that you are in the Responses tab.

    Assessment sends are grouped by reporting periods. Doublecheck that the correct reporting period is selected.

  2. Click Send Reminders at the bottom of the page.

    You are directed to the Send reminder page to send a reminder for this assessment.

  1. Complete all fields.

    Select recipients – choose a group of suppliers based on their submission status or send a reminder to a specific supplier by selecting Notify individual suppliers.

    Subject – a default subject is inserted, you can edit this if you wish.

    Message – type your message to the group or individual suppliers.

  2. Click Preview to review your message before sending.
  3. Click Send Reminder when you are ready.


Sent reminders are displayed in the Reminder history section and are also shown in the assessment response rate chart notated as an "R".
