Answer an assessment with segments
Segments are a property of the assessment response. Segments allow suppliers to classify their response(s) by a set of predetermined options. Each of these options is called a segment, and they are defined by the buyer before the assessment is sent.
Depending on the assessment type, Company or Multi-Tier level, you have two different processes to follow:
Company level assessment
- Click the menu icon in the top left corner.
- Click Responses.
- Select the assessment for which you are responding.
- Click Segmentation.
Review and select the appropriate segments.
- Click Continue.
- Review the Cover page.
You are directed to the Answering page to start completing the assessment.
If you're answering a Product or Site level assessment, you can select segments for each product or site. For more information about adding products or sites to your assessment, click here.
- Click Continue.
- Toggle On or Off if the answers are the same or different for the selected segments.
The Segmentation page is displayed.
Expand the segment information view by clicking the specific segment.
- Click Continue.
- Start answering the assessment for the selected segment(s).
Use the drop-down arrow at the top of the assessment to switch between the selected segments if you chose to apply different answers to each segment.
- Click Submit when completed.
Multi-tier level assessment
- Click the menu icon in the top left corner.
- Click Responses.
- Select the assessment for which you are responding.
- Review the Introduction page.
- Click Continue.
- Review the Assessment preview page.
- Click Continue.
- Review and select the appropriate segments.
If a buyer has provided a guidance document, you can find it on the Introduction page. Click the envelope in the upper left hand corner to send an email to the assessment sender.
By reviewing the assessment, you can determine if the assessment is relevant for your suppliers.
- Click Continue.
- Review the Ownership page.
- Select the option that is applicable to you.
- Click Continue.
- Review the Distribution page.
- Select the applicable suppliers to which to forward the assessment.
- Select which segments should be forwarded to the selected suppliers.
- You are required to select at least 1 segment.
- You are required to create a new relevant segment for each selected segment.
You can select who receives the forwarded assessment.
If a supplier is not listed, click Add to add a new supplier. To learn how to import multiple suppliers, click here.
- Click Continue
- Click Send.
- Start answering the assessment for your company.
- Click Segmentation.
- Toggle On or Off if the answers are the same or different for the selected segments.
You can compose the message to send to your suppliers .
Expand the segment information view by clicking the specific segment.
- Click Continue.
- Start answering the assessment for the selected segment(s).
